Casio G-Shock GMW-B5000RD-4ER is a shock-resistant watch that was released in Japan to mark the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the world’s first shock-resistant watch.
Today, the Japanese company Casio has introduced a new model, which maintains the shape and iconic design elements of the Casio DW-5000C, but is tailored to the requirements of customers in the modern market and possesses the most comprehensive functionality with the technology of the Connected Engine. The one-piece case of the GMW-B5000 features an ion coating in a magenta hue, and the DLC technology has been applied to the coating of the screw-on back cover. In addition to the traditional stopwatch and alarm clock, the case also includes a state-of-the-art solar-powered multifunctional movement with Bluetooth® and MULTIBAND 6 technology. This allows the watch to automatically set the time using radio signals and the G-Shock Connected app that is installed on the user’s smartphone. In keeping with the watch’s conventional yet forward-thinking design, the watch case also features a solar-powered multifunctional movement.
Module number 3459 is a multifunction movement that has a quartz regulator and a digital display on an LCD. Accurate to within +/-15 seconds over the course of a month (even without the use of radio time correction or syncing with a Bluetooth® smartphone). The watch is powered by light energy using technology called Tough Solar. It also contains a rechargeable battery that, after being fully charged, can last for 10 months of normal use and 22 months of power-saving mode.

LED backlight with an extremely high brightness that illuminates the LCD display. Lifting and turning your hand will automatically light the LEDs, but you can also activate them manually by hitting the correct button. The illumination time may be adjusted to either 2 or 4 seconds. Automatic time adjustment Six or five times each day using MULTIBAND a radio signal coming from one of the six radio towers that can be found in Germany, the United Kingdom, the United States, Japan, or China. These radio towers broadcast the data that comes from the atomic reference clock. There is the option for manual signal calibration as well as deactivation of the signal. Power saving mode puts the watch into sleep mode after it has been inactive for a predetermined amount of time. The automatic calendar can be set to display the date, the day of the week, and the month, and it can be adjusted up to the year 2099. There is no need to make any other adjustments. There is an option to display the time in either a 12- or 24-hour format. When buttons are pressed, there is an on/off sound.

A combined construction of the case that is typical of the G-Shock, consisting of an exterior casing, cushioned gaskets, and an interior casing to protect the movement from damage. The exterior casing of the G-Shock GMW-B5000RD-4ER watch is made of 316L stainless steel and has an ion coating in a magenta color. The width of the case is 43.2 mm, while the height is 49.3 mm, and the thickness is 13 mm. A weight of about 167 grams has been determined. The screw-on casing of the stainless steel back cover has a DLC coating, making it extremely durable and giving it the appearance of a diamond.
